but no one hears
now i stand struggling
between tact and spontaneity
candid truthfulness and careful discretion
secrecy and expression
love unspoken and love revealed
now written words are silent
a sweet escape from confrontation
a compromise for revelations i cannot shout
and like my heart's thumping -
they are loud yet unheard
love un-spoken, love (almost) revealed
